Letter to God

Mello

Oh, dear God, I write to thee,

With a heart that's full, and yet so free,

To thank you for the gift of life,

And for the strength to face all strife.

You are the rock, on which I stand,

The love that flows, like golden sand,

The light that shines, in darkest night,

The hope that fills, my soul with might.

When I am lost, and can't find my way,

You guide me gently, each and every day,

You hold my hand, and lead me on,

To a place of peace, where I belong.

And when the storms, of life do rage,

You calm my fears, and turn the page,

You give me courage, to face the tide,

And in your love, I safely hide.

Oh, dear God, I'm so grateful,

For your love that's strong, and so faithful,

For your grace that's endless, and so pure,

And for your presence, that's so sure.

May I walk with you, every day,

And never stray, from your holy way,

May your love guide, my every step,

And your light shine, until there's nothing left.

Oh, dear God, I'm forever yours,

With a heart that beats, with love that roars,

And in your arms, I'm safe and sound,

Forever yours, and forever bound.
