Love you mother

ZiadThePoet

Oh, mother, you are the light that guides my way,
Your love has brightened up even the darkest day.
I've wished for many things in life to change,
But your love for me is something I would never exchange.

My heart aches for the moments lost in time,
The memories that could have been, so sublime,
But even if I had a thousand lives to live anew,
I would choose you, my mother, each time through and through.

You are the sweetest scent in my garden of life,
My oasis of love amidst the turmoil and strife.
Your words are like honey, so gentle and kind,
With every word you speak, you soothe my troubled mind.

Even when I was lost, wandering aimlessly,
You always found me, and held me tightly.
If it wasn’t for the love I have for the one above,
surely my love for you would be like none thereof.

So, I thank you, my mother, from the bottom of my heart,
For all the times you've loved me, right from the start.
I will always cherish your love, forever and more,
For your love is the sweetest fragrance, that I adore.
