A bittersweet embrace
Tears flowing down my face
Wipe them away softly
Kisses me on my forehead gently
A gift placed into my hands
You say for protection
Bring it back whenever you can
It hurts me that ill miss you dearly
But if you only knew me more
That your gift of protection
Can easily be used as a weapon
Not against others but against myself
You hate me for saying it
But it isn't goodbye, just bye for now
Its bye until i see you again
Not tomorrow that is but another day perhaps
My longing to come back to you
The scars you speak of ive only knew
I want to get close to you just as you do
Hold my hands over yours next time with a flower to my surprise rather than a knife
For the only sharpness i want to feel
Is your love piercing my soul
