Don’t Lose Time

Vince Lewington

The people are chasing time Lord,

Trying to expand the 60 minutes in the hour

Choosing 24/7 lifestyle to fill the

1440 minutes in every day.

The people are longing for the

Holiday time

The new job time

The special event time.

And all the time their losing time,

Failing to appreciate time.

So busy chasing time

They fail to notice now time

What they are experiencing

Right now time;

The richness around them at this time.

Stand still in time,

Open your eyes, look around,

See what your Father has given you

In today's time.

  • Comment from author about the poem: The older I get the more aware I am of the passing of time - I am sure it is speeding up! I have also become aware of how easy it is to lose the blessings we are given now, by allowing ourselves to be looking forward or back. It was with these thoughts that God gave me the inspiration to write the following poem.\r\n
