First Steps on the Schoolyard Tracks

gobookmart

With trembling hands and nervous heart, The child sets off on a brand new start. A backpack full of books and snacks, They take their first steps on the schoolyard tracks.

Their eyes widen as they take it all in, A world of wonder and adventure begins. They hear the sounds of laughter and chatter, And they wonder if they'll ever matter.

But then a friendly voice greets them, And they feel a warmth from deep within. A teacher takes their hand and leads the way, And the child knows that they'll be okay.

They learn their letters, numbers, and words, And make friends with other boys and girls. Each day brings something new to discover, And they feel their confidence grow stronger.

As the weeks turn into months and years, The child grows wiser, stronger, and more sincere. They cherish the memories of their first day, And thank their lucky stars they went away.

For school is more than just a place to learn, It's where you find yourself and take your turn. And though the road may sometimes be tough, The child knows that they are enough.
