Oh how incisive an observation. Do you truly listen? It does seem that more often than not we drive ourselves to distraction, so to speak. Thank you kindly, Bella.
Good write CB.
But Fido is suspect of 'reverie'. He won't allow me any in case it gets too jolly, or any hint of hotness! Nor any ardour or excitement. He says it's for my own good, in case I swoon too much! lol.
Well wait til Fido brings up the concept of 'revelry!' Not particularly a fan of swooning here. But with regards to poetry, a reading swoon is quite flattering. Thanks kindly OC 🙂

You pose such an intriguing scenario dear poet. Do we truly listen, or simply look to distract ourselves. Such a good write!

And as for 'cavorting' and 'jiggery-pokery', Fido forbids it! lol.
your poems usually teach me new words, and tumultuous might be a new favorite.
That is quite a strong and reverberating word: 'tumultuous." It sounds what it means and that is a plus for any word!
such crisp imagery
and succinctly worded poetry
wonderfully executed
