The Tiger

Kinsley Lee

He’s the forelegs with tough muscle and pointed canines,
And running fast but he knows to wait.
He ambushes and glares behind the white pines,
But, to the prey, running in his wind-like rate.

      Hi! David
Thank you for your comments. Maybe. I wrote firstly this poem in classical Chinese, and translated in English. I sometimes try to adapt the Classic Chinese or Haiku writing technique. It can be worked or not, but I try to experiment.
Old days, Old Greek writing technique introduced to China, and the Chinese-poem writing technique introduced Korea and Japan. Today, the poem developed Tanka(Haiku)(Japan), and Sijo(Korea). The old western Poems influenced to Eastern Poems, and modern English Poems influenced the modern Korean Poems.
Thank you so much. Have a nice weekend!

      A fine write K.
We in the UK have William Blake's 'Tyger, tyger, burning bright'. I don't know why it's not 'tiger'. He is eccentric in some of his poems. 'The Tyger' is one of his better poems, I think.

        Hi! Orchidee
I like William Blake's Tyger, too. When I started the English poem, it impressed me very much. Thank you so much and have a nice weekend!
