Back to New Zealand
On the Stray bus with a journey planned
I met so many fellow travellers
Enjoying themselves with no cares
I'm English so it wasn't really my wish
To go to the other side of the planet
And hang heavy with people from my own country
It's like my mind didn't command it
I don't know why but it just didn't make sense to me
Making friends with the European guys instead you see
One particular girl caught my eye
She was Swedish, pretty, talkative and not shy
We got together after Hobbiton
That day was a lot of fun
I was on whiskey that night
Can't remember what she was on
Pretty drunk and kissing in front of everyone
She was a lovely girl
Guess you could call it a holiday swirl
Of romance
I'd see her again if given the chance
Can't lie, she made me feel like a King
End of the day, it was only a holiday fling

A true kiwi adventure it sounds like. Across the Tasman Sea, it would have been quite a different story.
Unfortunately, I didn't go around Australia, I thought it was easier and cheaper to do NZ but I would like to do Australia too one day.
Not too wrong there mate. The attractions in NZ are like 20 mins apart while it could take days in Oz between places of interest.
Aye I know some people who went Australia and said they had to fly to certain places and it wasn't as simple as hopping on a tour bus.
nope, never is. Much of Australia is still in spirit like the first Botany Bay expedition. Funny but true.
I get you aye, one day I hope.
