Colors

Alanamurphy

I see red hot anger, coursing through my veins

I see lifetimes of strife pass before my eyes

I see the calming sunset, with its warm and cool colors

Minimizing the rage, the anger subsides

I see the bright orange symbols, controlling our pace

Providing direction and instructing our movement

I see the calming sunset, with its warm and cool colors

Relinquishing control, fostering improvement

I see the yellow lights, passing by with no explanation

I feel the melancholic wonder washing over me

I see the calming sunset, with its warm and cool colors

Bathing me in it’s rays, taking me out to sea

I see the green of envy, the power and ego of trade

I see the fight for authority, that leads to slavery

I see the calming sunset, with its warm and cool colors

Illuminating the green of the earth, brimming with bravery

I see the blue of sadness, the tears and turmoil of humanity

I see the fear building, the journey in search of safety

I see the calming sunset. With its warm and cool colors

Reminding me of the blue seas, gifting me clarity

I see the purple of bravery, demonstrated only in war

A loss, a tragedy, a passing, losing ones’ self to unwarranted pain

I see the calming sunset, with its warm and cool colors

Showing me a fuller heart, through the cleansing rain

I see every color, through my feeble, wandering eyes

I breath every color into the depths of my soul

I see the calming sunrise, in every part of me

I see the warm and cool colors, a transformation in full

I am the sunrise, I am the sea
