Hospital

Jason Jesko

A lifetime full of regrets, I already possessed

A sweet second chance near scared me to death

And all the while from the moment we met

The fear of falling for you, that scared me too

So I held my heart back while you held us fast

The strong one all along in such little package

And I’m a fair bastard the way I took advantage

So the fates snidely grin as they sing my sins

And you pay the price as they wrap you up tight

Slip you away with an ache and a cough

Where you held me so high I finally drop

The end I deserve to live with love lost

Spending all if I could, at your beck and call

As you lay fading and your smile dims

As I sit by your side another night….

Praying please for one more….

In the hospital.
