Never meant to be

I guess we were never meant to be 

you smiled at me when I needed it 

you leant me a shoulder when I was caving in

skies used to be pink, blue and white 

but now when I look at them I can only picture you and I

I know you like me the way I like you 

its just the magnitude that betrayed me

cause you wouldn't mind me at all

but you'd rather be with her

and I'm not jealous, maybe a little insecure 

cause I cant help but love her too 

Its all sad but what we had wasn't 

right person, wrong time is one way to put it

so it doesn't hurt so much when I realise

that we were never meant to be.
