You are the mounting that I couldn’t climb.
I looked you up and down
Pondering the reason I lived for you
Wanting to see you be a king
I buried my heart into your life knowing that I would probably get it stomped to the ground
But I believed in you
As the fly believes that it wouldn’t die by the light.
Your aura so alluring and consuming
Tempted the best in someone to turn cold and callous
Beneath the love down the heart cavities
Next to the soul corned in the back
A scared little child.
I’m sorry the world broke you
I’m sorry I couldn’t love you in the dark
I’m sorry you felt the need hide me
I’m sorry you kept a lie
But I am not you
a coward in the night
A candle light gasping for air wanting something or someone to love on
By grabbing it by the neck
Applying that pressure
Wanting it to stay
Needing it to stay
I am not prey
I am away
Far from the guns loaded with bullets
Of self hate
Behind a gate that will keep me safe
Not bars
Wanting to see me in the grave
But to you sneaky link
You know who you are
And you my my scars
To you I wish you the best
And one day you are able to come to terms of who you are
Be the royalty you so desperately need inside
