Rage

Aurora Darling

Fire is all I see

A blinding flash

Building, building, building

Eery calm sweeps through

Smother the thoughts

To maim, to kill

Flash of Red

A reminder, a warning

Teetering toward the madness

Bury it or be consumed

Rage a dear companion

Fall victim to the cycle

Dampen down the flame

Don’t let the monster out

Inky darkness seeping through cracks

Let it engulf me

Let it in, let it burn

Growing faint

Darkness is all I see
