You’re the first person I’ve loved in a non-familial, or friendship kind of way
You’re the only one I can tell when I'm not okay.
When I'm feeling down,
You pick me up off the ground
You dust me off, look me in the eye,
And say “It’s ok to cry,
I'm here for you when you need me,
Even if you don’t agree
That you need help. But I know you do,
That’s why I'm here for you.”
You’ll never understand how much you help,
When I lose all hope, and feel stuck in the kelp.
When I can’t seem to see any light,
You seem to shine through the night.
From cookies at lunch,
To Apple cider doughnuts for brunch,
You always have something new,
And I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have you.
When you tease me for my music,
Or ask me to pick
What we to together next,
Or just chat with me over text.
You always know exactly what to do, exactly what to say
To make me feel better, or just brighten my day.
Aiden, I really appreciate you,
And everything you do
