Come Out of the Woodwork

PoetVids - I am WriteBeLight only in Video Version :)

Come out, come out,
Wherever you are!
I see you in there,
You can't go far.

Hiding in the woodwork,
Trying to blend.
Listen to me,
The message I send.

We miss your talent,
Words on the page.
Sometimes funny,
Other advice, sage.

Someone hurt your feelings,
Or, maybe you theirs?
It's something personal,
Of which we're unaware?

I know that it's tough,
Feeling sick and tired.
It's not for us to know,
So, keep it inside.

But, if you're ready,
To offer, to share.
Then bring it out,
Into the fresh air.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I am back after creating a new page to my YouTube site PoetVids. I have a live web cam of my bird feeders. Hope you check it out. It is from North Carolina, USA. This poem was one I wrote, some 5 years or so, for some of the poets on this site. I wanted them to know that I am reading their works, even though I do not always have time to post a comment. Thanks for reading this one.
