I am

Debake

I'm your best and your worst
I'm your everything
I'm the galaxy in the forest green
I'm the man on the moon
and I'm his queen
the butterflies in your stomach
your growing desert cactus
I'm your burning wood
made to distract us

the breeze in my wind and breathless sway
the heat in my flame and the campfire glow
the burn on my skin, my blue sky, my sun ray
the chill down my spine, my ocean gentle flow

I'm the red on your skin, cheeks of ivory
the soul in those eyes, the color baby blue
the imaginations run wild despite the brains advisory
but I wouldn't know simply because I was you
