Well, fact is
My sister’s never needed
A keeper
Just space, enough
Encouragement, enough
To be, all
They ever wanted to be!
Demyelisation, regressive etiolation
We empower dreams, while
Ensnaring
Paths to belonging’s, serene
Desaturation, insomniac insinuation.
Quotas to dictate what’s innate
While quoting hope as architect
Words that champion, enabling
Same alphabet chaining equality
To realms of denied opportunity.
Scorned ego’s n scorched heart’s
ache
Distrust utilised to tunnel divisive
hate
Yet, still
Brothers n Sisters aligned, as
In our dreams, we dare envision
A oneness, we fear unattainable
Yet,
In each March 8th, we celebrate
That fantastic ideal is becoming
An inevitability realised, tangible
Yet, still
We need not wait, till March 8th
To support, empower and appreciate
Those deserving lady’s, in our lives!

Well written
thanks, glad you liked it
a little masterpiece in my humble opinion .. indeed, ink well spent and so very bloomin truly ..
and furthermore, I swear this very eve, if I or rather when I arrive safe at my intended destination, then a toast I shall drink to you brother Mek & to the health of said sister on this most special day ... 💜
🍻
'Salut mi Amigo'
thank you!
hope you have a safe trip Hyung
History has not smiled well on this half of humanity that we hail as mothers, sisters, daughters and wives. Their flowers too soon fallen and forgotten. Without their support and indeed triumphs stolen by past acclaimed heroes we would not be where we are. So many valiant women warriors now lost to time, courage they did not lack nor compassion that men did not possess. A wonderful and well deserved write so well put.
so very true, wise Poet
