A Wish Upon A Despondent Star

The Disconnected Philosopher

A wish upon a despondent star

Deprecating itself to be granted amongst others

I wish my bondage scars

would be the enchantment to be your lover

Yet I know every laugh you utter

And every breath you take

Is not because of the steps I make

Yearning for satisfaction

My burning passion

For you is incessant

Yet when striving for your blessing

I'm never fulfilled

I'm grateful for you being alive when I'm dead inside

One day I'll just have to accept the fact that the tears I shed and hide

Are because I don't love myself

And seeking comfort in you

Is the only way I can convey

The thought of loving

The monstrosity and disgrace

That I am.
