Inevitable Doom

AGirlsPen

I fell a pawn, in a losing game.

“2 wrongs make a right.”

I think not,

I look to the right, and there! He stands, winter-white hair, his apex lifted to the heavens, with eyes clear as the sky, he outstretched his arm, incriminating me with his index, blackening my name and I don't know why.

I turn to the left, yes! A familiar face, I gaze at him, making my eyes readable to say “who is this strange man?” better yet that familiar face is not so familiar.

I have two fingers  pointing at me, but what could I have done that was so bad?

And then I realize we are nothing but a pawn in a losing game.

2,996 and 806,000

Total of 808,996 pawns, but who gained if we just lost?

2 steel birds cascade from the sky and the twins fall.

From the west comes a great king of terror:

You say “In God We Trust”

Well, certainly trust is lost in buckets and regained in drops.

You claim to fight for Freedom, Future, and Innocence.

Well I'm certainly in need of what your offering,

So, baptize me in the name of your father for- mine has sinned.

We die for your sins, yet like a candy wrapper, we are discarded. Your brace is no different than ours. Afresh you reunite your colonies between the two rivers. Did you ever think to kill each other in kindness, instead I am paying for your debt? As I breathe in the ghastly fumes of your mass destruction, you slaughtered and raped, yet you were fighting for freedom? YOU took my freedom, so you can have yours. You are no better than me.

Your nation was built on the trail of tears and mine was the cradle of civilization.

You fail, therefore you blame me.

You built your nation on truth, for George could not tell a lie, yet his Bush was a nose-less Pinocchio.

The American dream is nothing but sleep paralysis.

No soul is superior, yet you prove it wrong. You lost 2,996 innocent souls, may they rest in peace and you blamed 806,000 innocent souls for their murder.

Well, if I may acquaint you, John Wayne Gacy killed 33 young men and boys, Jeffrey Dahmer killed 17 young men, Ted Bundy killed 68 women, and–

What should we call you Bushie? Hero? My lord and savior? A knight in shining armor? One of history's good guys?

My people did not cause 9/11? Because you admitted that a couple years back. Well, great! You admitted to your mistake, you get a medal of honor Bushie.

No, it is time to stand, iron my scars away, glue my bones back, and remember.

Out of 806,000, 500,000 children died, My brother being one of them, 306,000, my grandfather, my uncle, and my cousin, being part of it.

Who do you think you are?

We are no lower than you.

So, get off that high horse.
