For my brother

Michael William Reid

The greatest sadness I could ever feel

Grinding me beneath its icy heel

As I start to rise up from the ground

The twisted hand of loneliness

Pushes me back down

The sour taste of loss

tears the breath out from my chest

Lives forever crossed

Now torn apart in death

Where have you gone my brother

Why aren't you with me still

My heart walks with you forever

And it forever will
