I may have found a key
a key to life behind one’s eyes
no need for vanity
Would you stay a while and take a breath
Tell me what you feel
notice scents upon the air
your hair among the breeze
the pull of earth beneath your feet
as you rise above the trees
unprompted thoughts like barking dogs
accepting what life brings
