Dharma

sorenbarrett

What is more free than a bee

To karma yoga devoted

It only performs its duty

Where no reward is promoted

Only in this can one be liberated

Freedom comes through action

Its outcome should not be deliberated

Doing nothing is a maneuver in abstraction

If expectation forms the basis of happieness

What follows, when not met, is anger and disappointment

better to give up all desires to possess

By this, one can reach enlightenment

By the time I've worked this one out (if indeed I ever do) then I must surely at least be in the vicinity of enlightenment??
(T'was the bee and karma yoga which sent me off on the wrong track, I think Soren........)

Thanks for the review Dave. The bee will tell you by its dance where the flowers are to make honey with. It's only a matter of decipering the dance.

I love the lines "freedom comes through action, its outcome should not be deliberated". In this age of "me", can we find the path to selfless giving? The truth and wisdom of you words brings a lump to my throat dear poet. Superbly written!

(A worthy path as any, to accumulate
          and manifest, an enlightened state..
I too believe in our karmatic footprints
          Devoid of dogmatic limitations
          in our interpretations,
          we can choose
          to invest in actions, without
          being dependant on outcomes
          to validate, worth...)
I like the philosophical tilt, to your words
that are anchored upon a life of faith
          in those choices we make..
an empowering perspective and a lovely read, dear Poet

Again I thank you L.B. for your insightful comments and review. I see that there are multiple ways of seeing things, scientific, philisopical, emotional, spiritual, none are mutually exclusive in my mind.
