Night is not silent

G REMADEVI

Moonlit reflections spread around talk a lot,

like wordless smile of that favourite lips

far above silver twinkling stars express

desires and expectations sparkled in eyes

waves of cool breeze fondle  all the flowers

petals call back the flying fragrances

some leafy branches high in cosmic circles

standstill as if in mesmerized fascinations

clouds of snow bits skate slowly in wings

Night in moon's grace, sweet silence

Yet the honey dew drops at the tip of buds

remind tears of lost hopes and memories

In midst, squeaking of night bird resonates

quietness breaks, rises song of darkness

Night laughs seeing the excited wings,

greedy beaks, to swallow the moon rays

Sky imbibes spring with bloomed creepers

Night thrills and close eyes, silence smiles..
