Leaving Out The Door

Andino

Freedom! Howled the wild dog outside
while the sun shines bright, melting the snow
a butterfly is waking up behind a door
with wings now ready to see the sunshine.

Flying from behind a door, you catch the butterfly wings
leaving it open for flowers to sing
on top of the ground made of all hues of greens.
The door is unlocked, and if you hear anything
wouldn’t be such door closing
but freedom and spring.
