Do you want help?

John_Bingham

Why is there always a fight!

It feels like you want to do this.

Why can’t you admit you’re not right?

I don’t think that we’re going to get through it.

You ask for my help and then I’m too pushy, so you’ll just shut up and not ask again?

And when I give up and no longer care
what the hell are you going to do then?

Don’t say I’m not listening then scream in my face, you think I can’t hear you so loud?

Then ignore what I say and shirk my advice, and to think that I used to be proud.

It might just be you that can’t seem to listen, and just won’t accept you are wrong!

And blame everyone else and push them away, when you were the cause all along.

You can’t cry and complain and say that you struggle, then shout when I offer support.

As soon I’ll stop taking all of the blame, and the ball will be left in your court.

And then things will be worse, there’ll be no one to listen, to help or advise or to hold.

And the complaints that you make will fall on deaf ears, as the advice line you had goes cold.

So don’t say your unhappy don’t know what to do, then get pissed when we offer advice.

And then when that I stop say I don’t care
because I won’t always be this nice.

If you don’t want our help don’t complain all the time, just get off your are and fix it.

But then don’t get all mad when we no longer care, because it’s you that has done this you thick shit.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Sometimes people won't accept the help they are offered, or don't realise they really need help until its to late. This can be upsetting to those trying to help, sometimes our anger gets the better of us.
