Tides of Emocean

Saxon Crow

The still sea suddenly embraced by wind

Turns to storm inside my head

Blown through currents

Of which I dread

My course is lost

In bottomless depths

I try to swim

But the tides are strong

I aim for a shore

Where I don’t belong

And as I flounder.

I offer my prayers

Wondering if a god is there

Then a wave as big as a mountain range

Speeds towards me in deafening rage

And as I wait

I contemplate my fate

This life I live has been so strange

And when the inevitable

Wave does hit

All fear is gone

All sense of dread

I’m cleansed and free

My soul restored

And the sea is calm

Just like my heart
