A Girl Born In Virginia

River

A girl born in Virginia

Quick-witted was her persona

Felt hatred from her family

So she left her home sadly

Sick and tired was her body

When she met them in the ally

Made a promise that would be broken

And faced a death which was unspoken

When she saw those green eyes

she had to face many goodbyes

Didn't realize when that annoying smile

Became her only crime

The pain she felt, You can't imagine

Never in her life she thought it would happen

Achieved what she could only dream of

The boy she loved now was her crown

As grey as storm was her eyes

Throughout her journey she made many allies

She's the pride of Athena

The girl born in Virginia
