An Unrequited Lover

The Disconnected Philosopher

I yearn to belong to learn be strong
But deep inside I know I'm an outcast
Tryna find love but she not about that
I want to start a family but randomly can it be a fantasy or something I can stand to see?
When I said the words 'I Love You' is when I died
I bled and hurt, put the drugs through for the sin obliged
I'm always sleeping cause you're the girl of dreams
My soul aches,'cause you're worth the keeping, but the world is a scheme
The tol bates the pain we keep in to unfurl the gleam
Like snow for a second of beauty but ice is meant to last
Christ knows, she's a blessing who won't choose me, my disputes plead, I'm nice but my efforts are sent to crash
Despite the incessant rejection I still pursue
For hope of pleasant redemption to check in with her expressions, my will askew
No matter how hard I try the starry sky predicts the verdict of woeful virgin whose soul is hurting
And I'm scared to leave for fear I'll be living sparingly with no one to spare or keep
I'll just wait for her love to blossom like a cherry tree
