To Whom I Bare My Soul

Azula Aqua

to whom I bare my soul:

please do not fear

I know what it is that you see,

but there is much for you to hear

to whom I bare my soul:

please do not run away

if you just give me one chance,

I will give you a reason to stay

to whom I bare my soul:

please do not judge

for between my head & my heart,

there lives a grudge

in order for one to win,

the other must suffer

it is nearly impossible to get them

to agree with one another

yes,

the head is logical,

but the heart

is pure & true

& the worst thing,

is at the end of the day,

both of them want you

they both made plans

they both checked for holes

& although they are giving the same performance,

they each play different roles

& before the curtains close,

the crowd yells for an encore

& just like that, they’re back on stage

agreeing a little bit less just a little bit more

so, to whom I bare my soul:

please accept it in its purest form

& I pray you see a soul

that is worthy for you to adorn
