The Hawkesbury has claimed a few.

Indeed. And yet that hasn't diminished its allure.

A two edged sword, so peaceful if you understand the highs and lows, deadly to the uninitiated.

Meanwhile - on a similar line? if at first ya don't succeed - give up. No use keep bashing ya head against a brick wall! heehee. Now come on, Orchi, says Fido - you're not trying! lol.

        indeed, dear Poet
        we do jump-in, swim
no pathing to that we dream
        mere instinct as life's, guide
        and yet, and yet
we do so love, those butterfly
        gifted, strokes..
may we find our bubble of truth
        to keep us believing
        till those survival shores, appear
        or that mercy finale
greets us, as reward for fighting
        far beyond, strife's
mirage bell tolls, in our pebbled
        hope fuelled paths
        upon callous life's, storm waves
        🍻

It's as if a part of us 'dies.'

'every hour wounds, last one kills'
            Neil Gaiman
(that's what makes it all so beautiful
            puny human's plotting to conquer
            magnitude of their universe, destiny's
            and managing to tag space
            with our trash, already)
