Shades of gray despite the suns rays

Poetic Dan

How gray it can stay despite the suns rays, all the beauty in the world hidden within many shades

Such is life the winds say! each chosen path we must stray, some to abandon others lead to go play

When most quests completed still leaves a rumbling down below, echoes above in the chambers mask more of the glow

My soul strolls dormant until all the kaleidoscope moments build up, leaving behind a distorted vision and erupt into a strut

Trapped in fragments of my poetic side, where the tears run from an ocean to dry on the cheek of a frown or a smile

    Beautiful.

    Great piece Dan,
Despite the beauty in the world we can't but feel and see only Grey at times, other times we see all the colors of the rainbow so vibrant and beautiful

Goes to show you that life can give you anything, just don't let the dullness consume you and overtake the beauty

    • Poetic Dan

You know this feeling well and I always know there will be light at the end, even if it's just pretend.
Rainbows come when you least expect them!
Thank you for your time my friend, truly appreciated
Always with much peace and respect

I do know it well, it's a struggle to see the beauty in everything, but I always try to

        Brilliant!
(We seek solace, idolising a past
        fearing future's, as yet unrealised
in this now, graced by a brilliant
        Sunset
as reminder to that we treasure
        few, witness
this grace within breath we've been
        afforded
        few, understand
tis now, not our next that matters
        most!)

I've now read this 3 times trying to see what you see. Always a pleasure to be inspired by your words, and help my mind become more open as many moments I retreat back to what I feel those words mean.
          Much peace and respect
          Always appreciated

            stay strong brother, walk proud
            smile wide, looking up
            at that moody cloud
embracing those umbrellas in your life
            fck the rest!

Wonderful write! I get trapped in the grey sometimes and have to remind myself the sun exists.
