Depression

Currently back in school in many extra curricular activity's I will try to make time to write love you

Depression, oh depression, it's a heavy word to bear,

A feeling of sadness and emptiness, that never seems to spare.

It's like a dark cloud hovering over, blocking out the light,

Leaving us with a sense of hopelessness, with no end in sight.

We can't just snap out of it, it's not that simple, you see,

It's a battle of both the mind and the soul, that's tough to set free.

The world may seem like a lonely, dark, and cold place,

We try to find comfort with people or things, but nothing can replace.

The emptiness we feel, the numbness that lingers inside,

Like drowning in a sea of sorrow, where even our tears have run dry.

But there is always a glimmer of hope, a ray of light that shines,

It may seem far away, but it's always there, waiting for us to find.

It's okay to ask for help, to lean on those who care,

To take small steps, one at a time, till we find our strength to bear.

Depression doesn't define us, it's just a part of who we are,

And with love, support, and patience, we can learn to heal our scars.
