Truth

voneill15

The lies are all around me, the lies are in my head.
They follow me everywhere; I can’t sleep when in my bed.

The WORD says fear is a liar, it says my chains are gone.
But fear has become a best friend and captivity is my song.

How can I see truth? How can I be sure?
All I’ve ever known are lies; I’m so dirty I’ll never be pure.

I’m unworthy and undeserving, the worst sinner known to man.
I’m a failure and a fraud, from heaven I’ll be banned.

But somehow I hear a whisper, a still small voice inside.
“You can’t believe the enemy, you’re not his, but my beloved child.”

“You’ve never been a failure, growth and healing isn’t fast.”
“But who you are becoming, like gold and silver it will last”

“I washed your garments in my blood, they sparkle like the sun.”
“Your name is in the book of life; in heaven your place is done.”

“Listen to my voice my daughter, spend time with ME each day.”
“You are my bride dressed in white, I love you more than I can say.”
