The Day You Were Taken

abbywrites

Tears rolling down my face

As I watch you slip away

I knew this day was coming

But it just came way too soon

You weren´t even technically mine

You filled me with joy like a balloon being filled with air

Now you are gone

You taught me so much

You helped me become better at what I love

But now you are gone

At least I get to keep the fluffy, fuzzy, fleece in which you wore

In my mind I understand why you had to go

But in my heart not so much

Now you are off to your new home

Where I hope they treat you well

I am finally getting my mind off of you

Now that you are gone
