Transcending The Silence (+1)

Kurt Philip Behm

Do you have a secret

that’s never been told

Deeply within you

like long buried gold

Do you keep your own counsel

for no one to hear

While staying intrepid

admonishing fear

Do you treasure those moments

in spite of the time

As words born an orphan

adopted in rhyme

That one treasured secret

alive roaming free

Transcending the silence

—of what’s yet to be

(The New Room: March, 2023)

Acentricus

Star crossed love

 a rocky shoal

Distant halves

—a different whole

Lovely to read you. You play words like instruments. Thank you for sharing.

That's high praise HBH. Music, being the highest art form, is what motivates me.

In a different life I would like to have been a singer songwriter.

(I can but ask your forgiveness once more
    dear cherished Poet
    for so rudely, butchering
    your wonderful poetry
    but, petulantly
I couldn't help sharing with you
how your words revealed themselves to me..
    thank you! for sharing
such a brilliantly thought provoking read)
