Violent Storms

Shaheer Agha

Through the dark skies,
I heard you calling out my name
Storms that just passed,
Came back more violent.

Arguments.
Sentiments Of Angers. Why The Arguments?
Strangers 2 The Love We Share.
Care Only Cares Of "I Could Care Less".
Mess After Mess Because Of These Violent Storms.

Violent storms can consume our lives,
Cutting into our peace like a sharp knife,
Causing pain and heartache,
Making us fall, shatter and break,
Violent storms can take over our lives,
Making us doubt and blame, our entire being taking a nosedive,
I refuse to let in another Violent Storm,
Into love and respect I will transform,
I will not let it overtake and consume me,
I am certain that by doing this, I will truly be set free.

Yet, now the violent storms have wrecked beyond the fixable
They have invaded my mind, raining on my choices
Breaking and stumbling I fall closer
Closer to your storm
With each step, there are cracks of thunder
The deafening warnings are barely visible
Unbothered I creep closer and closer
The risks are inevitable, yet love is stronger
The storms have seeped into every course
Whether it be the ones in my head
Or the one guiding me to the wrong choices
The question is which Violent storm will break me first?
No matter the answer I creep closer and closer
In hope you're holding the sun
In hope you have an umbrella
Unaware that you are simply fueling your very own violent storm
