Wall

PoeticBiscuit

You’re right there.

Behind that invisible wall.

The one you built yourself,

Over 20ft tall.

So close to me-

Yet still so far away,

So many things to say to you,

Yet I don’t know what to say.

You can’t see me,

I speak but it’s no use-

I scream I shout,

But the walls are sound proof.

Just look at me-

And recognize my hurt,

The pain and agony

That will put me in the dirt.

Just please notice me.

And remember what we’ve done,

My loving arms are open,

But still you choose to run.

Because you can’t see me,

Nor do you even want to,

The more love I give,

The more you want to lose.

I loved how you described self-isolation, and the description you used for it. Thank you so much for this, it was wonderful.
