Having a Mother is playing in the snow

Kaidon

Having a mother is playing in the snow

On snowy days the cold invites you out

It calls and asks for you

You get bundled up all warm

Excited to be surrounded by

Anything and everything wonderful,

as snowy days should be

You go out with a smile on your face

But always return with frozen tears

Hot cocoa will make it all better

There is no time to sit in sadness

Snow wants you to make snowballs and

Snowmen. snow wants to have you outside.

Snow does need a purpose after all.

Snowy days need you to enjoy them, yet

Snow gives you numb fingers,

Icy breath, and a hard time lifting your heavy legs.

Snow asks for you to embrace it, whilst your face loses feeling

If you go inside hail will want to break your windows,

Snow will pile up until your entire house is under the weight of each little flake combined

The roof will cave in if you let it--

Eventually, you stop going outside.
