pieces of you

candacej90

we put on our boots and hit up the fall festival.

it was then that i first held your hand.

your eyes found mine that night; 'twas unforgettable.

did God send you? none of this was planned.

i was the luckiest girl that cool october night.

hanging on the arm of the most handsome man.

you said be my hot date; sure hope i got it right.

now i'm writing poems; who am i? damn!

my hands at idle, gripping the seams of my jeans.

ready to touch you in places id never seen.

all i could think about was get me on my knees.

can't you see my lip bite? take me home please!

any night with you and a busch light is perfection

guitar strings and kisses; oh the wreckage!

i've got pieces of you from each night that we've spent.

tucked in my panties for a day that you may forget.
