Just Don't Get Excited

charles69

I think we will make it
Just don't get excited
You never knew love
Mine was always unrequited

I think that maybe
I should take a drink
I don't have many problems
If I can't or don't choose to think

I can count on you I guess
To scare the nightmares away
You may not see your past
And how you are today

If the preacher calls
You must let him come
You can't play with kids
Or teach who wishes to be dumb

I think we will make it
Just don't get excited
And remember that the rules
They have long been decided
