When Numbers No Longer Count

sleeping with the enemy

is like fucking with strangers

in vast yet familiar bed

"When Numbers No Longer Count" is a powerful exploration of the complexities of human relationships. Through its vivid imagery and blunt language, the poem captures the confusion and emotional upheaval that can arise when intimacy turns to estrangement.

my word .. now if you would only buy x1 copy of each of my eight published poetry books to date and write an accurate review which would undoubtedly encourage others to follow suit .. you would be helping the three charities to which royalty monies are paid into .. namely cancer, brain tumour and mental health ..

Thank you for your understanding and suggestions for how I can still support your cause. I will definitely share information about your books and the charities they support on my social media accounts and recommend them to others who might be interested. I appreciate the opportunity to contribute in any way I can, and I hope that your books and your efforts to support cancer, brain tumor, and mental health continue to make a positive impact.

Victims of indifference will now be the first book I've brought in a long time that wasn't about dog psychology lol

I have a bit of a bed obsession. I do have a wee smidgin of trouble incorporating the relations you speak of into my conception.
I do hope, however it all turns out well..... 😇!!!

sorry for my rant below, Hyung
this a trigger topic for me..
                  (saddest part of our psychological
                  troubles
is that symptoms, are only evident
                  to those
who choose to empathise and fight
                  to excavate
to that hidden depth of repressed
                  self-hate, which underlines
                  so many
of the choices we see in people
                  that defy logic
choices, born of such pitiful levels
                  of self worth
choices, that insures their cycle of hurt
                  continues
                  even after escaping their aggressors
                  in-fact
they are not choices at all, more like
                  its all they know
                  recreating, reliving that same hell
                  because someone, poisoned their mind
                  early on
making them feel, like they deserve
                  only the worst in life
                  and what do we,
                  'the well adjusted, judgemental' do
                  recognising the symptoms:
best of us, act like we don't realise
                  feigning ignorance
while the rest point and name call
                  vomiting those
'hoar' and 'walk of shame' labels
                  yet, still
                  the very worst
prey on those vulnerable poor souls
                  time n again
                  to sate their barbaric depravity
then boast allowed their conquest numbers
                  and then
                  every decent person, is left
to try and undo the damage
                  of those neurotically insidious fools;
                  Dante, got it wrong
there's more than one level of hell for such lustful vermin's
in-fact an entire universe of hell
                  is dedicated just for them
or at least, I like to think...!)

                  • Neville

like it or not, I guess it takes all sorts .. and I aint talkin liquorice allsorts neither sir Mek 🙂
