Scarlet Wings

Crystal Hope

Underneath the scarlet wings
lies the petals of a blue carnation.
Lavender scents water the seeds
as yellow sunshine colors the plantation.

Scarlet wings flutter from branch to branch
singing to the rotten roots soaking inside.
Swinging over daisies and roses
dancing on dandelion bristles that hide.

Chestnut trees paint with stained moss
coating the trunks and forest greens.
Scarlet wings brush palettes on
the sapphire skies and cloud beans.

mint grasses and mango sands
quilt across the flowery fields.
Scarlet wings balloon over seas
crashing with crayolas and teals.
