Simple touch of a hand

Niki Oz

Human touch. We need that touch almost as much as we need the air we breathe. I never knew that until I couldn't have it whenever I needed. It is a natural urge to fight for just as the body flails for that gasping breath of air your soul battles to feel the electric shock of someone's touch. It is like lightning striking your soul so deep you can feel it from the tingle in your head to the very bottom of your feet. It is as detrimental to our existence as oxygen. When you are struggling to breathe and your body finally gets that deep breath of fresh air it has struggled for your body feels a light-headed relief and rush throughout the blood in your whole system. When your body finally achieves that human touch it has so craved and yurned for it is an overwhelming, peaceful,  blissful rush throughout your whole system. It is an overdose of dopamine rushing through every centimeter until it reaches every last cell. It completely takes over you and completes you. Lightheaded, dizzy, peaceful and calm is the best feeling in the world next to the calmness of taking that next breath. The reassurance of your living existence and love.  That is the ecstasy you are able to bring me when I never even knew it existed.
