Folly

Neville

Folly

Just for the record

she seemed

to appear from

out of nowhere ..

In the uncertain

half-light

of a brand new day ..

And although

without question

or doubt, an enigma ..

She simply

would not have it

any other way ..

While impractical

of course ..

She was however,

more than just

perfect, in every

other conceivable way ..

The poem is a celebration of the unconventional, of those who do not fit neatly into society's expectations but who are nevertheless captivating and worthwhile.

                such an enigma
                these words, that convey
a link to experiences n feelings
                we though we'd long forgotten..
                wonderful flow Hyung
I really like your conversational tone
                (half-truth's, do so entice
                distance, as life's enamouring guile
                folly as fallibility's, cousin
                we wink at one
                so as to decimate, regret
                with our wilful, smiles
                and on
till that next folly, reveals herself
we only know two gears in life
                'D' for 'dive-in heart first'
                and
'L' for 'learning from our mistakes')
