When a Fine Line Might Just Make it Okay
Before we go any further
for a moment at least
Maybe it would be a good
idea, for each of us
to consider, all the big dark
secrets we presently keep
Not forgetting of course,
all our little white lies
Before we weigh them all up
and draw a fine line
if we possibly can, beneath
every single one

I dunno what botox secrets KP keeps from me, probably 1,001 secrets. lol.
You should learn to read between the lines sir Steven
Yes, I will read between KP\'s lines when her botox sags! lol. Not only old trout, but wrinkled one too.
Whoa! Outrageous read - sooooooooo good.
Cor blimey missus .. wot more could an old fella ask for eh' 🙂
👌👌Good ..
Cheers Mot 🙂
Those fine lines can become apt reminders mon ami that white lies can darken and secrets weigh heavy if mistakenly outed. Good ideas to consider before life gets darkened with too many lines...............x
.. I like to think of this one, like so many others, as a a filler or fillers .. whilst there is meaning, one also has to look between the obvious lines to see further .. I suppose I could have called them bridges, but guess that would have been a bridge too far .. bless you dear lady of the word .. x
This is an incredible write, I love it. All the fine lines under our white lies make them a little more bearable, huh? Including, as you say "the big dark secrets that we presently keep". Moving..
You mistress C are way too kind and far too generous for mere typed thank you's .. 💜
I try to walk a fine line in life N. As my dog Satuit would say if he had the vocal cords, "wag more, bark less". 😎 Well penned Sir.
Bless you & Satuit too ..🐧😎
Wonderful poem with a nice deep meaning
How very kind, many thanks indeed MysteryGhost 🙂
There is not a line long enough. You have exposed a great human trait. We all keep our secrets deeply hidden in our souls. Oh well, we'll just have to live with them. - Phil A.
So good to hear Phil and thank you sir ..
(progression, without assimilation
is that 'folly' of youthful verve
quick, to look for that next
move-on, move past n forget..
we, older souls
tend to take our time, consolidate
whatever we may have gleaned
before we set our mind, to cauterising
that hurt, we're so eager to shed...)
Hyung, I feel your words need to be shared
once a month
again n again
like prescription poetic therapy for all of humanity..
thank you!, dear Poet supreme
I am more than honoured my friend and truly .. your words will make the journey to work in a tick seem to fly by ..
In moments of absence
Coming back
To words of wisdom
Is truly therapeutic
Thank you its good to have you back, are your exams now behind you?
Exams are still a month away but anxiety is playing crazy games
