Upon Wanting to Die

Neville

Upon Wanting to Die

There is nothing random here

believe me darling ..

Death would not become you

since you are,

as yet, far too alive and anyway

I would surely

miss you, oh’ so very dearly ..

No doubt for the

eternity you think it offers ..

However, if you

would but swear on oath,

to eventually

return, as and when, that is ..

Then I shall teach you

all you need to know, to explore

the wilderness of it ..

Until such time as your curiosity

is well and truly sated

    A fine write N.
Now KP does not want to die, but she looks like an old 'death warmed up' trout! lol.

I bet you are both very happy together really

I've given pragmatic thought to suicide many times but haven't done (obviously) .... saving for a true emergency like fatal cancer or an asteroid coming our way but your words would surely stop the most convinced among us. It would take the thought of someone else's pain ........... this was masterful.......

Oh Nev - a title to ponder and then read on. - -If ever seeing a similar need. exploring the "wilderness" of life would surely catch the curiosity of one wanting death - an example of true care put into tender poetic language that touches the heart - the phrase " Death would not become you" brought this reader near tears........x

Its message of hope and love is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is always someone who cares and is willing to help.

Such a difficult write dear friend, it is hard to understand a state of mind where life is so intolerable that death seems the answer to a prayer. The healthy brain cannot conceive of such a thing, and yet it does strike the vulnerable. You write so beautifully of the other, who will hold onto that person with compassion and understanding, until the dark cloud passes. Very powerful dear Nev!

I am so glad you approve, thanks a million Bella ..

                  (the amount of times
the writes we choose to share, feels in-sync
                  amazes me, Hyung
must be something in those grey clouds
                  we ponder beneath)
what is it about ending's, that intrigues
our imagination's muse, time n again
                  we ponder and boldly fantasize
                  yet
to glimpse our panicked faces, when merely
                  slipping, upon fate's banana skins
                  it makes one realise
that distance of theory, in aftermath
                  of our inevitable finite
                  is what really, entices us
                  running to escape
                  unwilling to comprehend, the weight
                  of our looming goodbyes:
                  'I would surely
miss you, oh’ so very dearly ..
                  No doubt for the
eternity you think it offers ..'
                  (your empathetic artistry
                  at its irresistible, subtle best)

Even from this sick bed I feel compelled to send you my heart felt thanks brother Mek
