April's Insistence.
Winter's sharp knife now lying buried
in burgeoning earth
means scythe ceases and once birdless
branches can trill as buds swell.
Seasonal tunes may unsettle composure
of changeable nature
yet as earth's music grows warmer brown
shows desire for a greener dress.
Praise for April's insistence on action
so Spring may begin her flowery task.

Ahhhhhhh I can smell the damp earth trying her best........
Thought this would appeal to your taste in Spring verses dear Lorna - I love to try to get into the feel of seasonal changes.
April showers, not April storms?!
Very true Orchi - we only need showers for the flowers to grow.
My favorite season. Wonderful write Fay. 🌹😎

"April's Insistence" is a beautiful ode to the arrival of spring and the transformative power of nature.
You sum up my reason for writing this ode so well Mot. - April begins to show the power of switching from cold to warm with earth's plants thrusting upward from transformed root-grow and deserves a tribute methinks - thank you so much for your visit and read.
The beauty of spring leaps out of your chosen picture, and your first stanza dear Fay is right outside my window, it is heavenly. Thank you for this beautiful tribute to the lovely month of April!
