Come Into Light

Robert Isaacs Chiwala

I know, light kills passion

Please can you come into light?

Can we really be true, to night?

You know, there is no darkness under the sun

I know, light kills passion

I know, darkness is the fashion

But under the sun much brightness

Only on earth below, outer darkness

I know, light kills passion

I know, darkness can rekindle the passion

I know some magic imaginations, sort of lusting

You know, it cannot be forever lasting

I know, light kills passion

Do you know, in rekindled passion there are sparks

I know, darkness can rekindle the passion

Do you know, there is gnashing of teeth in outer darkness

Tricky situation, the light is cleansing, passion may not be affected?

  • L. B. Mek

    divide light by veracity
do you assume a resultant, night?
    or fractions of light
    like sunrays, that cascade upon
    sunglasses
eager to dim, what gaiety we're afforded
    by nature..
    do no be too, hasty
    dear youthful vehemence
    seek questions, more
    than life's certainties, for one
    affords, scope
    while the other, closes doors
    and narrow's horizon's corridors...
