My five Pillars

salahidden

There is no god and I am his messenger

The heavens beneath my feet

While I sit astride the moving earth

Ever whole and complete

I will blaspheme five times a day

In whichever direction I choose

All the pleasures of life come readily

Why should I refuse

Now charity, it stands alone

In being safe from my arrows

But I refuse it as an order

Its just a part of what man owes

When it comes to fasting, I don’t know

The starving are much better at it I admit

If it brings you closer to god

Its in the same way death gets you to commit

I’ve gone on many a pilgrimage

To people full of forbidden fruit

To libraries full of knowledge

It’s a much more rewarding pursuit
