Pain is a Good Thing! (maybe)

Although I am like most.

I don’t like to boast.

Having had my fair share of pain.

Pauses me for a moment to explain!

As with defeats teaching a lesson.

I would rather have simply progression.

Not 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

I would rather go on the attack!

Pushing ever farther ahead.

And not giving up ground, instead.

As to the matter of pain.

I have to say it’s quite lame!

Causing one to pause for a moment in time.

Contemplating the next move so sublime.

Maybe even having to take steps backward.

Makes it all the more awkward!

However, I will finally say.

I am still in the field of play.

Not to sit out my final chapter.

I am not, Yet, at my happily ever after!

Period. (oh & ouch)
